GlobeMed - University of Colorado Chapter
GlobeMed is a network of university students that partner with grassroots organizations around the world to improve the health of people living in poverty. Through their involvement today, students commit to a life of leadership in global health and social justice.

Founded in 2009, GlobeMed at CU-Boulder is one of 46 GlobeMed chapters working to improve the health of people living in poverty around the world. GlobeMed at CU-Boulder partners with Himalyan HealthCare to improve the health and wellbeing of the people living in Jawalakhel, Nepal. Together, HHC and GlobeMed at CU-Boulder are improving access to high quality healthcare, health education, nutrition, hygiene, and economic empowerment. Over the past 2 years, GlobeMed at CU-Boulder has raised over $40,000 to support the work of HHC.

All net proceeds from the handicraft sales are used to fund primary health care, medical and educational projects, giving to those involved in the production process a sense of pride that comes by helping and sustaining many others, in even greater need than themselves.
